No going back...
Okay, I admit it, I'm hooked. I can't help it. It's so addicting. And there's no turning back. It's the TiVolution.
Steve got me TiVo for Christmas, and I absolutely love it. What in the world did we do before TiVo? You can record a plethora of things, skip through commercials, pause to answer the phone, rewind if you miss something - everything's at your control with just a little remote. Even the little TiVo icon is cute. He's always smiling. Now I will never miss Oprah, Ellen, and Martha during the day... and for all those nights I work late or when I travel, I'll never miss an episode of any show or Illini basketball game again. And you can't complain that there's nothing on - since you can watch any of your favorite recorded shows over and over!
I don't know how I will ever watch live TV ever again. And I guess it's time to retire my VCR, once and for all.

I'm with Schaffer.
i think the saying "don't knock it til you tried it" may be applicable here... but since i've never tried it, i'm not really sure... : )
Tivo is pretty awesome. I made it most of the last year watching minimal amounts of television, mostly because there wasn't much I wanted to watch and really didn't miss it. The downside of course was when there was something I wanted to watch I was stuck watching it or missing it on their schedule. Now I can work late or attend a lecture or watch something else without having to miss it and get to watch it later comercial free (or at least in fast forward).

If you've tried it and don't agree with it, then you're entitled to your own opinion. Until then, don't knock it.
