11 minutes and some change...
After 10 weeks, I finally did it. On Saturday, I ran a 3 mile loop around the trail on Theodore Roosevelt Island in 33:44... which means I have broken my 12 minute per mile pace! Now the question is... do I keep trying to run 3 miles at a faster pace (my goal is to run at a 9 or 10 minute mile pace), or do I try to run more miles at a slower pace (still aiming for a half-marathon this year)?

both.
vary your workout. alternate between longer runs and faster runs. eventually as you do the faster runs it will carry over to your longer run routes.

Totally unrelated to running, but the book I'm reading just had a murder on TR Island! Good thing it's only fiction. Congrats on a new milestone!
